Our Mission
Miscarriage of Justice Canada (MJC) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to exposing and remedying wrongful convictions. We review and investigate credible cases of injustice, advocate for exoneration through the Miscarriage of Justice Review Commission, and work to educate the public on the systemic causes of wrongful conviction. Guided by fairness and integrity, we support marginalized and underserved Canadians while promoting accountability and reform within the criminal justice system.
What We Do
.01
Case Investigations
We thoroughly examine cases of possible miscarriages of justice, reviewing the case history and gathering evidence to support applications to the Miscarriage of Justice Review Commission and if successful to argue new trials or appeals
.02
Legal Advocacy
Our team works alongside legal professionals to provide advocacy and representation for those seeking justice.
.03
Policy Reform Advocacy
We advocate for changes in the justice system to prevent future miscarriages of justice, promoting fairness and accountability.
